2-3 business days for production

These are the same plywood discs that we have been selling for years except in a thicker format.  We have the ability to produce these precut, thick wooden circles in 1/2" (12mm), 3/4" (18mm) and 1" (24mm) in thickness.  Each one of these unfinished wood circles is made when you order them, so they are always "in stock" and ready to be quickly produced for you.  Each disc is sold on an individual basis.

The product that we use is a high quality, cabinet grade Baltic Birch product.  Baltic Birch is made with many plies of birch alternating in the grain direction throughout the entire sheet.  Baltic Birch plywood has been manufactured for over 100 years the same way.  The product is incredibly strong and durable as well as uniform through the entire sheet.

We will be cutting the thick wooden circles with a CNC machine that uses a rotating bit to slice through the material.  The CNC machine is extremely precise, just like our lasers that we cut with to produce our thinner stock of materials.  The CNC machine does not leave the material with as clean of a cut edge as the laser.  We highly recommend a light sanding on the edge of the product for the best results.

If you are looking for a different size than what we have listed, just simply order the next larger size and in the comment section of the order, specify the exact size that you are looking for and we will cut that for you.  We will not cut these unfinished wood circles smaller than 6" unless you make special arrangements with us.  Please contact us for details at or 704.663.2895

We have the ability to add holes, make wood donuts or wooden washers, frames and just about anything else that you can think of.  Let us know what you need, we make special products for people every day often for the same price as we would charge for a simple item.  We use digital fabrication so this makes it extremely easy for us to make exactly what it is that you are looking for.  Don't settle for something that you have to modify when you get it, contact us for details and to talk about your special product.

The maximum size that we can produce must fit inside of a 60" x 60" piece.

Great quality plywood. I asked to have a couple of them cut in half for a project which woodcrafter did at no extra cost. Super helpful!

    Plywood circle

I purchased a custom, beautiful 21.5 by 3/4 plywood circle. It turned out exactly as ordered. I wasn’t familiar with this kind of plywood, but it is lovely, light colored, and blemish-free. Terrific, rapid service, too. I’ll be back for another when I make my next table.

    Plywood circles, 6" x 1/2"

    Posted by OffGrid9 on Mar 22nd 2019

I own a nine-year old Work Sharp WS2000 sharpening machine. It's been out of production since 2013, but mine is in perfect shape. I have enough self-adhesive sanding disks to last a while. However, I needed a few flat 6" discs on which to affix sandpaper circles, or on which to apply abrasive polishing compounds.

I was going to make my own out of 3/8" or 1/2" MDF or good plywood, but when I saw WoodCrafter's plywood discs, I was happy to pay to have someone ELSE do it.

I ordered four, and asked if they could please drill 1/2" holes for me, and I'd be happy to pay any extra cost for the labor.

They drilled the holes for free. The plywood appears to be one of the "baltic birch" varieties...dead flat, quite smooth (with a few blemish repairs, but they are smooth too). I've stuck four grades of wet-or-dry sandpaper on two of them (using both sides), and I applied four "grits" of polishing compound to the other two. The sandpaper wheels were perfect right out of the gate, with no perceived irregularities. The surfaces with polishing compounds were a bit rough at first, but after sharpening a couple of plane irons, they smoothed out very nicely. I couldn't be more pleased.
