Our Welcome disc sign is an easy way to make a welcome sign that looks great but is super easy to put together. The wooden welcome sign will come to you in 3 parts. The base of the sign is a 12" wood circle cut from 1/4" thick Baltic Birch. On top of that you have a 3" tall band that is designed to fit across the lower portion of the sign that is cut from 1/8" thick Baltic Birch plywood. In addition, you will also receive the wooden word "welcome" that is also cut from 1/8" Baltic Birch. Welcome measures approximately 7.5" x 3".
Each piece is separate from each other. The easiest way to finish this project is to paint each item separately and then glue the items together once the paint is dry. You have the option of using the wooden band or leaving it off of the project. The space available above the band to the top of the disc is approximately 6". You can use this space to add in a seasonal item that you can change out (use 3M Command Adhesive strips). Use can use seasonal items like a Santa, pumpkin, flag or any other item that you can think of.
The edges will be brown as a result of the laser cutting process and the top and bottom can have some smoke discoloration on the surface; however, the smoke will not affect paint adhesion and can easily be removed with a light sanding.
