Kick off your Christmas season with warmth and cheer! Our "Be Merry" Framed Sign Craft Kit (Unfinished) is a perfect accent piece to hang in your living room, hallway, kitchen, bedroom, or anywhere else in your house that needs a little Christmas spirit. It also makes a great addition to any winter-inspired mantle, shelf, or tabletop.
This kit includes two layers: a base layer (8" or 12" square) and a top layer (the words "Be Merry" and a square frame).
To assemble the kit, first paint/stain the words "Be Merry", as well as the frame and base layer. Allow everything to dry, then glue the frame to the base layer (use the corners to line it them up). Finally, glue your letters to the base layer. We know this step can be a little challenging, and it can be difficult to glue the letters in a straight line. We like to place the letters on the base layer and line them up the best we can before we glue them down (a small ruler or straight-edge helps). Once we like how they're arranged, we pick up one letter at a time, apply glue to the back of the letter, then place it back in the arrangement. If you need to make minor adjustments then you can do so while the glue is still tacky.
For a more finished look, you can apply a clear coat of your choice (we like to use a sprayable acrylic sealer in either matte, satin, or gloss finish). Hang with a Command strip or place on a table/mantle/shelf and lean against a wall.

All pieces are cut from 1/8" Baltic birch plywood. These wood cutouts are designed to be easy to paint and decorate in your next art and craft project. The edges will be brown as a result of the laser cutting process and the top and bottom can have some smoke discoloration on the surface; however, the smoke will not affect paint adhesion and can easily be removed with a light sanding. We do not cut any of our products until you order them so we can easily accommodate your request for adjustments or changes, such as size alterations, engravings or adding holes for hanging.
